In 2022,
- James Cameron returned after a 13-year working hiatus to release Avatar: The Way of Water, the sequel to the highest-grossing film of all time.
- Top Gun: Maverick brought back Captain Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, played by Tom Cruise. The film explores Maverick recognizing his past while teaching the next generation of Top Gun graduates, a long 36 years after the original film.
- Acting as a reboot of the modern Batman film franchise, The Batman starred Robert Pattinson as our new masked crusader as he deals with a new villain, the Riddler (played by Paul Dano), as he targets Gotham’s elite.
- Nope reunited director Jordan Peele with actor Daniel Kaluuya in this Neo-Western science fiction horror film telling the story of brother-sister pair of horse-wranglers as they attempt to capture evidence of a UFO.
- Glass Onion: A Knives Out Story was the widely anticipated sequel to 2019’s Knives Out. Glass Onion features a top-notch cast consisting of Edward Norton, Janelle Monae, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Kate Hudson, Dave Bautista, led by the excellent Daniel Craig as Benoit Blanc.
