Stemming from tax evasion charges first filed in 2019, reality stars Todd and Julie Chrisley will begin their prison sentences in January.

In his latest “Chrisley Confessions” podcast, Todd told viewers that he and his wife had appealed the court’s decision last month to charge the reality-TV couple with tax fraud. However, he was unable to elaborate on the details.

Staying true to his television roots, he added, “So, we’re not allowed to discuss it, so don’t think we’re avoiding wanting to tell you something because we’re not. It’s that we’ve been told we cannot.”

Nevertheless, Todd thanked his loyal fans for the consistent support his family has received throughout their court case. “We appreciate all the prayers that we get every day. We are bombarded with — which is a blessing — with mail, with gifts, with just thoughts of generosity and offers to help us in any way possible and that they are praying for us.”

Towards the end of the episode, Todd asked his fans for their prayers. “If you are praying for my demise, then I pray that God blocks your prayer. If you’re praying for our blessings, then I’m reinforcing your prayer and asking God to listen to the masses that are praying for us.”

Todd will serve 12 years in prison for conspiracy to commit bank fraud, bank fraud, tax fraud and conspiracy to defraud the United States.

Julie will serve 7 years in prison for conspiracy to commit bank fraud, bank fraud, tax fraud, wire fraud, conspiracy to defraud the United States, and obstruction of justice charges.
