As demand for explorer yachts continues to grow, interest in leading players like Bering Yachts has boomed. Originally founded in 2007 by Alexei Mikhailov, this Turkish shipyard is known for its specialisation in the construction of semi-custom, steel and aluminium explorer yachts and expedition catamarans. Based out of Antalya, Turkey, the shipyard offers a wide range of series, including its Expedition Yachts series and Expedition Catamarans, with sizes ranging from 20 to 45 metres in length. Focused on designing and building leading explorer yachts with long-range cruising, comfort and durability in mind, we look at two of the most notable new build Bering yachts currently for sale with TWW Yachts.
Bering 88
Originally launched in the summer of 2024 as the second Bering 80, the Bering 88 is the result of a rebranding following “significant upgrades” to the model. A pocket-sized, robust steel-hulled explorer yacht that seeks to redefine long-range cruising in the under-28-metre category, she features a bold exterior designed by SABDES Yacht Design. Combining expedition-grade engineering with superyacht-level comfort, she measures 26.20 metres in length, with a beam of 8.10 metres, and a draught of 2.40 metres. Offering an impressive internal volume of 235 GT with over 177 m² of social interior space, this is complemented by 43 m² of crew quarters and nearly 128 m² of technical areas. Her interior layout is highly customisable, with a sweeping 35 m² master stateroom forward on the main deck and four additional ensuite staterooms on the lower deck, comfortably accommodating up to 10 overnight guests. Available in a beach club and swim platform version, her key amenities include a flybridge with space for a sit-down bar and sunpads, a swim platform or beach club and expansive storage. Powered by twin 450 hp Cummins QSM11 engines, she has an impressive range exceeding 5,000 nautical miles when cruising at 8.5 knots and a top speed of 10.5 knots. Operated by a five-person crew, the Bering 88 is ideal for any new and seasoned yacht owners.
Bering 145
The Bering 145, announced back in 2020, is Bering Yachts’ flagship explorer superyacht and the first fully customisable model in its fleet. Designed entirely in-house, this 44.2-metre superyacht features a full-displacement steel hull and aluminium superstructure, offering exceptional stability and long-range capability. With a beam of 9.16 metres and a draught of 2.75 metres, she features an extended 30 m² garage, ideal for storing water toys, tenders, diving equipment and more. Her interior layout, which is customisable, includes an open layout of the main salon and formal dining area for 12, a sky lounge with additional dining space on the upper deck and an expansive sundeck with space for a spa pool, bar and grill. Other key amenities include her 40 m² beach club, with a fold-out terrace and space for gym equipment. The Bering 145 offers a six ensuite stateroom layout for 12 guests, including a stunning owner’s suite with 9.5 m² of glazing forward on the main deck, a VIP ensuite guest room on the upper deck and four ensuite guest rooms on the lower deck, with crew quarters that can house up to nine crew members. Powered by a hybrid propulsion system—twin 1,200 hp Caterpillar C32 ACERT engines paired with electric motors—enables silent cruising and a range exceeding 5,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 12 knots. She has a top speed of 15 knots.
